Commonly abbreviated as OB/GYN, an obstetrician/gynecologist is a combination of two doctors rolled into one. An obstetrician is a doctor trained in managing pregnancy, labor, and childbirth. On the other hand, a gynecologist is a doctor specialized in the female reproductive system. Primatologist is a specialized doctor within OB/GYN who treats patients with a high-risk pregnancy. Gynecologic oncologists are medical specialists who treat and diagnose women who have cancers in reproductive organs such as ovaries, uterus, etc.
